#Teen4Food: learn to eat healthy to fuel passions

There are many wrong eating behaviors that teens adopt unaware of the damage to their own body. Besides anorexia and bulimia, we have now emerging disorders such as "drunkoressia" (eating less and less up to fast and then take large quantities of alcohol), orthorexia (obsession with the "right foods") that includes other wrong behaviors associated to an excessive attention to dietary laws, and vigorexia (obsession with one’s own physical aspect and fitness) that often leads to the use of protein supplements or other drugs typical of bodybuilding.

We have, therefore, decided to address these sensitive issues by creating a team of dieticians, doctors and psychologists in order to produce a publication aimied primarily at teenagers and young people.

The publication is intended to inform, without blaming or judgments, on the damage caused by improper nutrition, offering advices to change risky behaviors, to identify them more easily and to bring prevention in social settings frequented by teens.

The publication will be available for everybody as pdf file on our website (free download) and will also be handed out in schools where teachers will show an interest in an open dialogue with students on these important and delicate issues.
